WORKPLACE HEALTH PROMOTION

Workplace Health Promotion (WHP) is the combined efforts of employers, workers, and society to improve the health and well-being of people at work. This can be achieved through a combination of:

  • Improving work organisation and the working environment
  • Promoting active participation in the process of WHP
  •  Encouraging personal development.

Health promotion at work benefits not only workers, but also the employer, with potential reductions in sickness-related costs and improved productivity. This also creates a societal benefit.
