ENERGO–PRO Brazil Ltda. was established in August 2023 and its main activities are identification of suitable hydropower assets in the country. In the end of November 2024, the company acquired seven small hydropower plants in Brazil from investment vehicles managed by Brookfield Asset Management. The total installed capacity of these plants reaches 90 MW.

In 2025, the large Baixo Iguaçu Hydropower Plant was acquired from Copel. Baixo Iguaçu HPP, located in the state of Paraná, has an installed capacity of 350 MW.

History

The Baixo Iguaçu HPP is located on the river Iguaçu in the state of Paraná. It was put into operation in 2019 and acquired by ENERGO - PRO in 2025.

History
